The Practical Driving Test is carried out by a DSA – Driving Standards Agency examiner; it will take between 38 to 45 minutes of driving and manoeuvres. The examiner will start by a simple eye test where you are asked to read a number plate from a distance of approximately 20 meters. You will then be asked 2 questions regarding Mechanical Awareness, Steve Pearce School of Motoring will of course provide you with guidance. Example of Mechanical Awareness Questions. The examiner will want to see that you are confident and can drive in a competent and safe manner. You will need to show that you can perceive the situations as they arise and respond with sound judgement.
